At the intersection of art, technology, and culture, his mission is to pioneer the language of storyliving — transforming narrative into multisensory, emotionally resonant experiences across the physical and digital spaces. Over the past two decades, he has directed more than 250 digital and immersive projects, events, pitches, and campaigns, developing frameworks that empower creators to design for presence, empathy, and collective imagination. Some of his notable projects include Alexandria: Port of Worlds, the official virtual world of the Cannes XR International Film Festival, where myth and architecture converge into an interactive cultural nexus; Love on a Plate, a multisensory Apple Vision Pro experience that redefines culinary storytelling through spatial media; and the SIGGRAPH VR Theater: Living Sanctuary, a re-envisioned immersive showcase merging narrative cinema, reactive flora, and mixed-reality performance. Gabriel Zaro is a strategist and community executive with over 15 years of experience in cultural-scale activations, design thinking, and digital ecosystems. As Lead for Community Development at BC+AI, he helps shape how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies intersect with human-centered community frameworks. His approach is informed by a unique background that spans circus arts, founding and running a creative agency in Brazil, and building global programs for some of the world’s most engaged digital communities. This path shapes his belief that community is not merely a gathering of people, but an engine of intelligence capable of guiding design, policy, and innovation. Over the past decade, Zaro has advanced community as a discipline in the gaming industry, directing global strategies for franchises such as EA SPORTS FIFA, NBA 2K, WWE 2K, and LEGO 2K. His work has scaled creator networks, Discord ecosystems, and live-service engagement models into actionable insights that influenced billion-dollar products. Today, he brings the same systems-thinking mindset to frontier technology, bridging culture, design, and intelligence to ensure that new technologies grow with—and not apart from—the communities they serve.
