Our annual gathering

Once a year, the whole ecosystem is in one room.

October 28 to 30, 2026 · H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Vanier Park, Vancouver

Futureproof Festival is where BC + AI stops being a mailing list and a monthly meetup and becomes a room you can walk across. Three days in Vancouver, our people plus the world we keep telling about this. If you have been to a meetup, a hackathon, or a film night, this is the same community with the volume up and better shoes.

How we got here

You did not attend this into existence. You built it.

Nobody planned this in a boardroom. It started as a monthly Vancouver AI Meetup that kept outgrowing its room. Then hackathons. Then a film festival. Then 28 months of people showing up because the stakes are real and the gathering is not boring.

Futureproof is that work, put in front of the world for three days. This is the year it gets a stage.

25% off every ticket type. The best public price there is. Add it at checkout on the ticket page.

If cost is in the way, there are other doors: volunteer for a full pass, apply for a community scholarship on the ticket page, or bring your class at the student rate. Nobody who belongs here gets left at the door over money.

Student Pass is $250. Groups of five or more save 10% on one purchase.

The member rate is the same door as the community.

Here is the thing: join BC + AI, and the gathering opens at 25% off, plus the meetups, the film nights, and the people you will keep running into all year. The discount pays for itself on one ticket. The community is the part that lasts.

Presented by the BC + AI Ecosystem Association. Full program, speakers, and all three days live on the festival site ↗.

Kris Krüg is the Festival Director and Founder / Executive Director of BC + AI. He runs the Vancouver AI Meetups and has been building Futureproof Festival from the physical community first.
