BC + AI Ecosystem Association
BC + AI became a nonprofit because the work had grown bigger than one room. These communities are the pillars: local chapters, creative labs, education circles, policy rooms, domain tables, and philosophical deep dives where people learn, build, and belong.
Our communities
These are the rooms with enough shape to stand behind: regional chapters, recurring gatherings, and focused communities already doing the work.
Flagship regional room
The original room where the BC + AI ecosystem gathers in person before the work fans out across the province.

A Fraser Valley room with its own gravity, connected to the wider BC + AI network.

A neighbourly Island room asking what it means to be human in the age of AI.
Creative special-interest group
A room for making the work, showing the work, and talking honestly about what AI changes.
Active reading and workshop community
The deep reading room where BC + AI does the hard thinking about minds and machines.
Forming special-interest group
A forming room for creative practice, design craft, and hands-on AI workflow exchange.
Education special-interest group
A consent-first learning circle with Ethọ́s Lab for agency, access, and power in education.
Working civic policy lab
A working civic policy lab for people who want AI's possibilities without surrendering agency, accountability, or public voice.
Domain special-interest group
A cross-silo table for life sciences operators and the wider AI community.
Regional chapters
Vancouver is the origin point. Surrey and Comox Valley show the model travelling into different communities without flattening what makes each place specific.
Special interests
Some rooms are creative, some civic, some technical, some philosophical. Each one has a public path into the work.

Membership is how you join the BC + AI ecosystem. Once you are in, you can take your time finding the people and gatherings that fit. Want a taste first? Come to an upcoming event, or start with the people already in the rooms.
