Global Island AI π is an applied AI firm based in Victoria, B.C. and founded by Garth von Buchholz in 2025. We work with major AI companies to train and test frontier AI models. We also facilitate digital transformation through AI-augmented immersive learning in higher education and organizational training. Principal Garth von Buchholz is a user experience behaviorist and certified usability analyst. He completed graduate studies in educational technology at the University of British Columbia in 2025 and completed a program in AI ethics and governance at the London School of Business and Research in 2026. He is now studying to become a certified AI scientist through USAII.
