Vancouver AI Meetup & The Squatchie Awards — December 2025
December's Vancouver AI Community Meetup doubled as The Squatchie Awards — a night reflecting on two years of community-building, opening with Gabriel George Sr.'s ceremonial grounding.
Peter Bittner presented The AI Upgrade, and the room broke into generative carols performed by Patrick, Alex, and Zaro — a seasonal experiment that turned into one of the night's more memorable moments. Community announcements covered the Squatchies itself, the AI Film Club cadence, the multimodal lab, open collaborations, reading groups, and dates for 2026.
