Speakers
Getting your talk ready.
Already invited to speak at a BC + AI gathering? Your event contact will give you the handoff date and format. This page is a starting point, not one set of rules for every room.
Before you send anything
Check the shape of your talk.
- Confirm your talk title and what you plan to show with your event contact.
- If you will use slides, a demo, audio or video, tell them what needs to play in the room. Ask which file formats and delivery method work for that event.
- Send any files by the date your event contact gives you, so the team can check them before you go on stage. If a file changes afterward, tell your contact rather than assuming a new version will reach the show computer.
No slides? That is fine. A real demo or a good question can make the room, too. Tell your contact what support you need.
Event-specific details
The deadline depends on the event.
Your speaker contact will confirm the deadline, file handoff and in-room setup. If you have not received those details, ask them before sharing files. Do not put unpublished materials in the public speaker pitch form.
