ED + AI is our monthly room for educators, students, parents, builders, researchers, and curious neighbours figuring out what AI means for learning.

Bring your tough questions, half-built ideas, classroom realities, tools you’re testing, and the stuff you’re not sure how to ask yet.

AI is already in the classroom, the hallway, the homework tab, the staff room, the after-school program, and the group chat.

So we’re keeping the door open every month.

ED + AI is a consent-first, equity-minded, place-rooted circle for people working around education and AI: teachers, students, parents, caregivers, youth workers, librarians, researchers, artists, technologists, EdTech builders, and neighbours who care about learning as public infrastructure.

This month is simple: bring what’s real.

Bring the tough question you keep circling.
Bring the big idea you haven’t found language for yet.
Bring the thing you’re building, testing, resisting, or trying to understand.
Bring the classroom situation, policy wrinkle, parent concern, student workaround, workflow, tool, or “is anyone else seeing this?” moment.

No polished presentation required. No AI expertise required. No pretending we’ve got this all figured out.

We’ll compare notes, share what’s working, name what’s not, and make space for the questions that don’t fit neatly into vendor demos or district memos.

What to expect

  • Open conversation around real education + AI questions

  • Space to share tools, workflows, prompts, projects, and experiments

  • Honest talk about consent, equity, workload, assessment, creativity, and student agency

  • Small-group discussion so everyone actually gets to talk

  • A practical community vibe: more kitchen table than conference stage

Who ED + AI is

ED + AI is a monthly AI and education gathering hosted with big love by Ethọ́s Lab × BC + AI.

We’re here to weave practical tools with ethical guardrails so classrooms, after-school programs, community labs, and learning spaces can adapt without losing the human core: relationships, curiosity, confidence, care, and agency.

Big love to Ethọ́s Lab

Ethọ́s Lab is a youth-powered innovation studio centring Black futures and community imagination. Their space, leadership, and care make ED + AI possible. Thank you for holding the centre and keeping the vibe welcoming and bold.
