Event recap

The June 2026 AI Film Club meetup brought filmmakers, creative technologists, and AI-curious community members into Multimodal Media Lab for an evening of talks, demos, showcase moments, and Q&A. Michelle Diamond’s photos capture the room from pre-event portraits and hallway conversations through technical walkthroughs, prompt examples, and group discussion.

The gallery emphasizes public event context without naming private attendees: the audience, presenters, projected work, and the collaborative energy of a Film Club night in Vancouver.

What happens at Film Club

We combine film screenings with technical deep-dives, creative experiments, and real talk about how AI is changing production, post, distribution, and storytelling itself.

This is about filmmakers taking control of the tools, understanding what’s possible, and deciding how we want to use them.
