I believe the role of education is to unlock the agency of every student — to help them see their own potential, develop their unique gifts, and gain the courage to create meaningful change in the world.
As an artist, educator, and founder, my work centers on one question:
In an age of AI and unprecedented complexity, how do we prepare young people to thrive — not just survive — and lead with empathy and imagination?
In 2008, I founded Young Guns Studio to build the supportive, inspiring environment I wished I had as a young artist. What began as a small studio in Vancouver has since grown into a thriving ecosystem of mentorship and innovation, with students earning over 900 acceptance letters and $10M+ in scholarships to top art and design programs worldwide.
But Young Guns has never been just about admissions. It’s about designing futures. Through an approach that blends creativity, technology, and personal development, we help students build the skills to navigate complexity: critical thinking, collaboration, and the ability to translate vision into action.
Today, as we evolve into Young Guns 3.0, my mission is to scale this model globally — connecting educators, creators, and partners who share the belief that education must evolve. We’re building systems that use AI thoughtfully and ethically, amplifying human creativity rather than replacing it.
If you’re passionate about reimagining education or shaping the next generation of creators, let’s connect. Together, we can design a future where humans and technology grow stronger — and more humane — side by side.
