Hi, I’m Mila.
I’m a biotech engineer, entrepreneur, and co-founder at Nala Care, a Vancouver based body care brand focused on creating products that encourage self knowing, self care, and self advocacy.
I have 25+ years in biotech and life sciences, spanning regulatory affairs, quality and compliance, process and product development, and new drugs development. I hold a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biotechnology Engineering and an MBA in Management of Technology, and I love operating at the intersection of science, technology, and real world impact.
I’m deeply curious about AI’s potential to transform drug development:
How can we use AI to mine and connect data from thousands of clinical studies across countless drug trials to dramatically accelerate life saving treatments.
Could AI help us make the breakthrough that finally helps us cure cancer? How can we use AI for personalized medicines and treatments?
I’m also very interested in AI ethics, especially how we regulate and protect AI identity, personal data, and biometrics as these technologies become more deeply embedded in healthcare and everyday life.
Outside of work, I support homeless youth (Covenant House), enjoy angel investing, explore bioenergy / quantum healing, and unwind with pickleball.
