What happened last year
Two hundred and fifty of us gathered at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre. We opened with Indigenous ceremony because protocol matters more than profit. We screened six films made by BC artists and filmmakers who proved that gatekeepers don’t own creativity anymore. We confronted IP ethics, job displacement, and what happens when algorithmic randomness becomes your co-director.
Year two
Science fiction taught us to see this coming — from HAL’s calculated gaze to Blindsight’s consciousness paradoxes. Now we’re living it.
Year two goes deeper. Our curation blends intentional scouting with open submissions. Community drives everything.
Resistance is generative. We build better through friction.
