Becoming a BC+AI Partner

Our Partners

We build alongside people and organizations who share our values: ethical AI, community ownership, and real work over hype. These partnerships shape what we do-from monthly meetups to province-wide programming.

If you’re looking to sponsor BC AI, visit our Sponsors page to explore how we can work together.

What Partnership Means Here

We don’t do transactional relationships. Our partners show up—at events, in conversations, in the work itself. They’re invested in BC’s AI ecosystem because they live and build here, not because they want their logo on a banner.

Partnership with BC AI looks like:

  • Co-creating programs that serve the community, not just brand visibility
  • Sharing expertise through workshops, panels, and mentorship
  • Opening doors for students, job seekers, and founders across BC
  • Showing up consistently—not once a year, but month after month

Institutional Partners

HR MacMillan Space Centre

Our home base. The Space Centre has welcomed Vancouver AI meetups since the beginning—providing not just a venue, but an institutional anchor that signals what we’re about: exploration, education, and wonder. Lorraine Lowe, the Space Centre’s Director, serves on our Board.

Academic Partners

Research matters. We work with universities and labs across BC to ground our programming in evidence, connect students to industry, and ensure our community benefits from—and contributes to—the cutting edge of AI development.

SFU Metacreation Lab

Philippe Pasquier and the Metacreation Lab have been collaborating with Vancouver AI since before it was fashionable. Their work on computational creativity, generative systems, and AI in the arts directly shapes our programming around creative AI.

Community Partners

The organizations and groups who make this ecosystem what it is—through cross-promotion, shared programming, and simply showing up for each other.

Work With Us

We’re always interested in partnerships that serve our community. If you’re an organization, institution, or government body that wants to:

  • Co-create programming that advances ethical AI in BC
  • Connect your people to a thriving, active community
  • Contribute expertise, space, or resources to shared goals

Let’s talk.

BC AI Ecosystem Association is a registered British Columbia nonprofit. Our partnerships are built on shared values, not transactions. We exist to serve our community—and we partner with organizations who feel the same way.
