Barry Jinks is an entrepreneur and technology executive now pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia, focusing on artificial intelligence in emergency communications. He founded Colligo Networks in 2000, building it into a leader in records management solutions, and earlier led Spectrum Signal Processing from startup to a NASDAQ national market listing. He has also held senior roles at LSI Logic Corporation and advised numerous technology organizations and boards.

Barry has co-authored papers on VLSI microprocessor design and circuit generation presented at leading IEEE conferences, including work on automated microcontroller design, processor prototyping, and ROM macrocell architecture. His contributions have been recognized with the EY Entrepreneur of the Year, IEEE Hackbusch Award, and APEGBC Prize, reflecting both his technical innovation and leadership in bridging research and industry.
