Barry Jinks is an entrepreneur and technology executive now pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia, focusing on artificial intelligence in emergency communications. He founded Colligo Networks in 2000, building it into a leader in records management solutions, and earlier led Spectrum Signal Processing from startup to a NASDAQ national market listing. He has also held senior roles at LSI Logic Corporation and advised numerous technology organizations and boards.
Barry has co-authored papers on VLSI microprocessor design and circuit generation presented at leading IEEE conferences, including work on automated microcontroller design, processor prototyping, and ROM macrocell architecture.
